Welcome to Menttora: Academy for
Professional Development (“Menttora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms and Conditions govern your use
of the Menttora website, registration for our courses and workshops, and
participation in any professional development programs, webinars, training
sessions or related services offered by Menttora (collectively, the
“Services”).
By accessing our website, registering for
or purchasing a Service, or participating in a Menttora program, you agree to
these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms,
please do not use the website or Services.
1. Our Services
Menttora provides professional development
education and training through:
Workshop and course content may be
customized for organizations based on their identified needs.
Menttora may modify, update, postpone or
discontinue a Service where reasonably necessary.
2. Educational Purpose
Menttora's courses and workshops are
designed to provide education, professional development, knowledge and
practical tools.
Participation does not guarantee any
particular employment, career, organizational, financial, professional or other
outcome.
Information presented through our Services
may be based on research, professional experience, legislation, policies,
standards and best practices available at the time. Such information may
change, and participants are responsible for determining how information
applies to their particular circumstances.
Menttora does not provide legal, medical,
financial, immigration or other regulated professional advice through its
general professional development programs unless expressly stated otherwise in
writing.
3. Registration and Payment
Registration may require payment of a fee.
Fees, applicable taxes, registration
requirements and any specific cancellation or refund conditions will be
communicated before or at the time of registration.
You are responsible for providing accurate
registration and payment information.
Menttora reserves the right to refuse or
cancel a registration where permitted by law, including in circumstances
involving non-payment, fraudulent activity, inappropriate conduct or
insufficient registration.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer
rights that cannot legally be excluded or waived.
4. Cancellations, Refunds and Changes
Cancellation and refund terms may vary
depending on the course, workshop or Service and will be communicated at
registration.
Menttora may cancel or reschedule a program
because of circumstances including insufficient registration, instructor
availability, illness, technical problems, severe weather, emergencies or
circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where Menttora cancels a prepaid program
and does not provide a reasonable alternative, any refund will be provided in
accordance with the applicable cancellation policy and applicable law.
5. Workshop and Course Materials
All Menttora course materials,
presentations, manuals, handouts, templates, recordings, graphics, videos,
written content, training frameworks and other materials are the intellectual
property of Menttora or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
Participants may use materials provided to
them for their own professional or educational purposes.
Unless Menttora provides written
permission, participants may not:
Registration or payment for a course does
not transfer ownership of Menttora's intellectual property.
6. Participant Conduct
Menttora is committed to providing a
respectful, professional and inclusive learning environment.
Participants must not engage in harassment,
threats, discrimination, intimidation, disruptive conduct, unlawful activity or
behaviour that compromises the safety or learning experience of others.
Menttora may remove a participant from a
program where reasonably necessary because of inappropriate or disruptive
conduct, subject to applicable law.
7. Online Programs and Third-Party
Platforms
Some Services may be delivered using
third-party platforms, including video conferencing, learning-management,
payment, scheduling, communication or cloud-storage services.
Menttora does not control third-party
platforms and cannot guarantee their availability, performance or uninterrupted
operation.
Participants are responsible for
maintaining appropriate internet access, equipment and account security
required to participate in online programs.
8. Privacy
Menttora collects, uses, protects and
discloses personal information in accordance with applicable privacy
legislation, including Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA)
and, where applicable, federal privacy legislation.
Personal information may be collected for
purposes including registration, payment processing, communication, delivery of
Services, administration, customer service, security and legal compliance.
Menttora will take reasonable measures to
protect personal information and will not sell personal information as a
business practice.

9. Participant Information and
Confidentiality
Participants may voluntarily share
information during workshops or discussions.
Participants are expected to respect the
confidentiality and privacy of other participants.
However, Menttora cannot guarantee that
information voluntarily disclosed by participants in a group setting will
remain confidential.
Participants should avoid sharing highly
sensitive or confidential information during group sessions.
10. Intellectual Property and Website
Content
The Menttora name, logo, website, course
content, training materials and original educational resources may be protected
by copyright, trademark and other intellectual-property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify,
publish, distribute or commercially exploit Menttora's proprietary content
without written permission.
11. No Guarantee of Results
Menttora does not guarantee that
participation in a course, workshop or other Service will result in:
Outcomes depend on many factors outside
Menttora's control.
12. Disclaimer and Limitation of
Liability
Menttora makes reasonable efforts to
provide accurate, useful and current educational content. However, we do not
guarantee that all information will always be complete, current, error-free or
suitable for every participant.
To the maximum extent permitted by law,
Menttora and its owners, instructors, employees, contractors and service
providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential
losses arising from participation in a Service or use of the website.
To the maximum extent permitted by
applicable law, Menttora's total liability relating to a particular paid
Service will not exceed the amount paid by the participant for that Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits
liability, consumer rights, warranties or remedies that cannot legally be
excluded or limited under applicable law.
13. Third-Party Links
The Menttora website may contain links to
third-party websites or resources.
These links are provided for convenience
and informational purposes. Menttora does not control and is not responsible
for the content, security, availability or privacy practices of third-party
websites.
14. Force Majeure
Menttora will not be responsible for delays
or inability to provide Services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable
control, including severe weather, natural disasters, illness, power or
internet outages, government actions, labour disruptions, emergencies or other
unforeseen circumstances.
Where reasonably possible, Menttora will
attempt to reschedule or provide an appropriate alternative.
15. Changes to These Terms
Menttora may update these Terms from time
to time.
The current version will be posted on the
Menttora website with the applicable “Last Updated” date.
Continued use of the website or Services
following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent
permitted by law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the
Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada.
Subject to mandatory consumer-protection
and other applicable legal rights, disputes relating to these Terms or the
Services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to
be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified or removed to the
minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
